Dougarie is on the west coast of the Isle of Arran, around 11 miles from Brodick the main village on the island.
The Calmac ferry runs from Ardrossan, Ayrshire about 30 miles west of Glasgow. The rail services links with the ferry timetable directly to Ardrossan. The ferry journey takes around 55 minutes. Car travellers require a reservation and this should be done at the time of booking accommodation, foot passengers don't need to book.
Calmac also run a smaller ferry from Claonaig, Argyll, to the north of the island at Lochranza. There are no bookings for this ferry. This has a very limited winter service and there are no facilities at Claonaig.
